Concert Pianist
Sergey Perepeliatnyk is rightly considered one of the most phenomenal pianists of his generation. Born in Russia, he studied at the Secondary School of Arts in Kharkov under Professor Alexandr Sklovsky and Professor Regina Horowitz, and then at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kiev under Professor Alexandr Muravsky.
He was a prizewinner of the competition “Kiev Autumn” in Ukraine, in which he was awarded the “Classic-premier” prize. While still a student, he performed in concerts in all of the bigger cities of Russia.
In 1995 he came to Czech republic as répétiteur with the students of the Kiev Academy to take part in the Ema Destinnová International Vocal Competition in České Budějovice, which the Kiev students won.
The following year they won the competition again and the South Bohemian Theatre offered Sergej Perepeliatnyk the post of répétiteur. He accepted the post and worked in the theatre for six years.
At the same time he performed in concerts throughout the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Germany, France, Ireland, Scotland and England.
In 2002 he moved with his parents to Israel where that year he took part in a pianists’ competition in Tel Aviv and was awarded the certificate of “Excellent Pianist”.
At the present time he living in České Budějovice Czech republic, where continuous his work like Concert pianist.
